Port Overview

Stockyard & Train-Unloader

The port stockyard is a cargo assembly stockyard for transhipment operations, with an inital capacity of two rows of 200,000 tonne linear stockpiles. A 2000tonne surge bin is located downstream of the reclaim conveyor to smooth out reclaim inefficiencies over a stockpile and ensure the out-loading circuit is supplied with a constant flow of material to maximise barge loading efficiency. A sample station is situated adjacent to the surge bin to ensure product quality is maintained.

The in-loading circuit from the train unloader to the stockyard is designed to allow direct loading of on spec product from the train unloader by transferring directly onto the reclaim conveyor via a 3 way shuttle arrangement. The 3 way shuttle also has provision to transfer product to a second stacking conveyor in the future when the stockyard is expanded.
