Jon Young


Non-Executive Chairman

Jon holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.

After University Jon joined Mobil Oil as a process engineer at its Adelaide Refinery and spent seventeen years with Mobil in a wide range of management roles including engineering, operations, strategic planning, trading, marketing and sales with postings in Australia, the USA and Asia. Jon's last role with Mobil was as Chief Executive Officer of Indo Mobil Ltd, a Joint Venture between Mobil and the Government owned Indian Oil Company, based in New Delhi, India.

In 2000 Jon joined Santos Ltd, Australia's second largest oil and gas company, as General Manager of the South Australian Business Unit which contained the bulk of the company's assets and production. During his time at Santos Jon held a number of senior executive roles which included responsibilities for HS&E, exploration, development, operations and sales.

Jon was the Santos business leader responsible for the development and execution of Santos' Coal Seam Gas strategy which, through an acquisition and appraisal programme, enabled Santos to develop the industry leading Gladstone LNG project.

Jon joined The Todd Corporation in January 2011 as Group CEO.

Jon holds dual New Zealand and Australian citizenship and is married with four children. His interests include family activities, motorcycle touring, travel and the arts.











Executive Director

Nick is the Founding Director of BBI Group Pty Ltd. Nick now serves as Executive Director, with a focus on commercial and finance. His career spans more than 30 years in the resources and finance industries.

Nick graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons).

His early career was in banking and finance. In 1990 he became Executive Director of Macquarie Bank Limited heading the commodities division.

In 1994 Nick left Macquarie to set up Sino Mining International, a wholly owned subsidiary of the State owned China National Non Ferrous Metals Corporation. This company developed the first internationally operated mine in China, the Jianchaling Gold mine in Shaanxi Province.

In 2000 Nick founded Sino Gold Limited as Executive Chairman. This company operated gold mines in China. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2001.
During 2001 Nick took control of ASX listed Lynas Corporation developing the Mt Weld rare earth deposit in Western Australia and a large downstream rare earth processing plant in Kuantan in Malaysia. He retired from Lynas in 2013 after the plant in Malaysia was fully commissioned.

In 2011 Nick founded Forge Resources Ltd, a junior ASX mining exploration company in 2011. This company acquired the Balla Balla Mine in the Pilbara in Western Australia. It was privatised by him and Todd Corporation in 2014, and is now BBI Group Pty Ltd, focussed on building a large scale integrated iron ore system in the Pilbara in Western Australia.

Between 2011 and 2013 Nick served as a Governor of the Mining and Metals Industry Partnership Group and as Co-Chair of the Global Growth Company community for the World Economic Forum, attending the Davos Summit during these years.

In 2011 Nick received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Australian Eastern Division.

On 13 June 2011 Nick was awarded an AM (member of the Order of Australia) for his services to the community through executive roles supporting medical research and healthcare organisations and also for his work fostering Australia-China relations.


BA(Hons) MMgmt, Non-Executive Director

Michael holds a first class honours degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering (University of Auckland) and a Masters of Management (Macquarie Graduate School of Management).

Michael had a 15 year career with Mobil Oil Australia in a range of roles including engineering, operations, strategic planning and business development in Australia and New Zealand. In 1995 he left Mobil to pursue opportunities in Asia Pacific and worked in a number of senior executive roles in the manufacturing and industrial sectors including a period as President BlueScope Steel China.

In 2007 Michael returned to the resources sector as Chief Operating Officer for Lynas Corporation, an ASX 100 business, and subsequently into the gold sector where he is a Director of Red Mountain Mining, an ASX listed gold development business.

Michael was appointed Vice President Corporate Development for the Todd Corporation in 2011. In February 2013 he was appointed to the role of Vice President Minerals based in Sydney. Michael is a Director of Wolf Minerals and Flinders Mines, both ASX listed resources businesses. Michael is a member of the AICD and the NZICD.

Michael holds dual Australian and New Zealand citizenship and his interests include the performing arts, rugby, fishing and diving.








Non-Executive Director

Evan holds a Bachelor of Town Planning (University of Auckland), a Master of Science (Tourism Management) (University of Surrey) and a Master of Philosophy (Urban and Regional Planning) (University of Birmingham).

On returning to New Zealand he acted as a Planning Consultant to a number of major New Zealand developers. In 1986 Evan joined Rainbow Corporation and subsidiaries and was responsible for significant commercial developments in New Zealand and Australia. In 1991 he joined Brierley Investments as General Manager of Brierley Properties. After disposal of Brierley’s property portfolio Evan led the licensing and development processes for the Sky City project in Auckland and joined Sky City on its public listing in 1996.

During Evan’s 11 years as Managing Director of Sky City the company grew from a single site to have business operations throughout New Zealand and in South Australia and the Northern Territory, with an enterprise value in excess of $3 billion and more than 6,000 staff.

Evan joined Todd Property as Managing Director in 2008. Evan is a non-executive director of ASX listed Flinders Mines Limited.

Evan is a Trustee for several substantial charitable organisations, a Director of several public sector enterprises and has interests in sailing and farming.

Paul Moore


Non-Executive Director

Paul has a Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (2:1 honours) and a Diploma of Engineering (Southampton, UK).

Paul has held a number of senior executive positions in the international oil and gas sector during the last thirty years. Prior to joining Todd, he was Managing Director of an ASX Junior (Otto Energy), Executive Vice President Development (Woodside) and Vice President Development Projects and Technical Services (Santos). Paul was employed by Fletcher Challenge for 11 years during which time he was a Director of Maui Development Ltd (New Zealand, five years) and also held various upstream management roles in New Zealand and Brunei, Borneo.

He began his oil and gas career with Shell International where he was employed as a Petroleum Engineer, in the North Sea, North Africa, and in New Zealand.

Paul joined Todd Corporation in 2011 as Executive Vice President Upstream Energy and Resources. In August 2014, Paul was appointed to the positions of Executive Vice President Todd Energy International, CEO Todd Energy International and CEO South Louisiana Methanol.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Chartered Engineer (UK) and SPE member (30+ years).
